There is no doubt this gun is shaped to achieve high speeds and hold its line in tough conditions.
The conception of this gun began in 2005. Originally developed for pro riders and record holders, exceptional results have inevitably increased demand amongst riders. Consequently, F-One launched the Gun into production in order to satisfy all long distance enthusiasts. Equally able to maintain average speeds of 20 kts or reach top speeds in excess of 30 kts the Gun is the perfect weapon for all who cannot help but head for the open seas!
A lot of work went into packing more comfort into this board and relieving the back leg pressure that is necessary to maintain high speeds on distances exceeding 100km on the same tack. The board is therefore thick under the front foot but super thin under the rear foot in order to reduce stress on the rider’s back leg.
The board features a locally straight rocker for speed and accelerations with a massive concave to eat the chop. The tail has a lower volume to help with speed control and is slightly lifted to ease the ride in the most difficult seas. Meanwhile, the pronounced forward scoop helps with control and avoids digging the nose. The board is fitted with a set of tri-fins shaped for high speed and the top deck is lined with a double layer of bamboo which ensures that the deck will be solid and resistant to pressure dings.
