The Tarifa Strapless Kitesurfing PRO finished last Sunday, July 4th, 2015, with Airton Cozzolino crowned as winner. The crowd at Valdevaqueros beach was humming and the athletes were on a mission to show everybody what they could do with a kite and a surf board. The contest ended with an interesting final between Airton Cozzolino and Keahi de Aboitiz performing spectacular strapless tricks that amazed the audience. PKRA riders Aaron Hadlow, Alex Pastor and Liam Whaley were also at the beach to watch this historic final. This was the first contest of its kind and brought riders from around the world, including Australia, France, Hawaii, Portugal, Cabo Verde Island, North Carolina and Italy. These athletes pushed this style of kiting and exposed it to a whole new audience. From here, strapless freestyle can only get bigger and better! We hope to see everyone next year in Tarifa for another terrific event!
