UPDATE 11/9/18: Zeus has been found — happy ending showing power of social/traditional media and community working together for a good cause:-)  https://www.facebook.com/dimitri.maramenides.5/posts/10158087058074782

On November 4, 2019, while competing at a local kiteboarding competition under the Skyway Bridge, 2020 Olympic hopeful Cameron Maramenides put the family dog, Zeus, a male Jack Russell terrier, in the back of his open pickup truck and closed the gate to secure him. While competing from approximately 9:30am to 10:45am, an older white man, aged 60-70 years old, was seen petting Zeus and was then observed picking up the dog before taking off with him in a gray Toyota Camry. A treasured member of the Maramenides family, the Jack Russell is also quite famous and has appeared in commercials and ads, and is also known for his kiteboarding skills https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XjT5FpXsA A $3500 reward has been offered for the return of Zeus, no questions asked.
