The totals are in!

Thanks to participants and companies for supporting this year’s fundraising efforts to benefit the Oceano Jr. Lifeguard Summer Program at the 15th annual XBA Kitexpo. Between the Friday night dinner of 55 attendees (thanks Core Kiteboarding and SubSea Tours for each bringing six from your crews!) and the sold out Saturday BBQ of 150 tickets, the kiteboarding community raised enough funds to support 11 kids in this summer’s program.

The XBA Kitexpo, formerly the Pismo Kitexpo, was founded by Central Coast kiteboarding pioneer Kinsley ThomasWong of Xtreme Big Air in 2002. It started as a way to hang out with the few kiters around at the time with a vision to build a community of kiteboarders who shared a passion for the sport and ocean. The event is now dedicated to his spirit, memory and infinite stoke for life. #LiveLikeKinsley
