Outer Banks Realty, one of the key sponsors of the now annual Hatteras KiteXpo in May, has done an excellent job documenting the affects of Irene both right before and after the hurricane hit.
We talked with Charles Ash of www.goprovideo.com and Chris Moore of Kitty Hawk Kites this morning and found out that they are all safe and okay but have not been able to make it to the resort yet. Tomorrow they will load up a boat for their first look at what Irene did.
KHK Instructor Charles Jackson braved the storm and stayed on site during Irene. He is okay and has been holding down the fort with no communications, water, or electricity. Kitty Hawk diverted all lessons to Nags Head and were doing them today.
