The 4th Annual International Naish Paddleboard Race was a resounding success, with nearly 200 competitors from around the globe gathering on Maui to make the famous 9.5 mile run from Maliko Gulch to the Kahului Harbor.

Paddlers were greeted with warm water, blue skies and a brisk 20-25 mph north east trade wind pattern that provided ideal conditions, and cold beer and Maui style grinds at the finish line, where the race morphed into a great beach party.

Scott Trudon was first across the line, paddling a custom open class board down the course in just 1:10:09, while a crew of Naish riders that included Michi Schweiger, Nitsan Solomonov, Yoshi Nagamatsu, John Smalley, Jerry Bess, Edmund Pestana, Michelle Crompton, Paula Lenny, Julia Schweiger and Harold Iggy dominated both the 14’0″ (No Rudder) class and the 12’0″ (No Rudder) class with the latest generation of Naish gear.
