KITE PROGRAM 2016

For our 4th edition of Outdoormix we propose three major kite activities and a dedicated spot for each one:

• Freestyle Demo
• Foil Race
• FreeRide Zone

1. OUTDOORMIX FREESTYLE SHOW

Our honored guests and our local cracks have “carte blanche” to offer a super freestyle show. Big tricks and good vibes are always in the program, and that’s the way we like it! This year, Outdoormix opens the possibility, via contest, to the “New Talents” to show their skills riding head to head with talented kiters. Pure freestyle in all its splendor. Guaranteed spectacle to admire every day from the Plan d’Eau beach at the Outdoormix Village.

2. FREE RIDE ZONE

In a gorgeous landscape of towering mountains, and with 3000 hectares of flat turquoise water, Serre Poncon Lake is a unique kite spot. The thermal wind, accelerated by the venturi effect of the relief, is guaranteed by the presence of the sun as it shines over 300 days per year in the Hautes-Alpes. The wind is even stronger, the days when the Mistral comes from the South, providing intense sessions! Regardless of the wind, you are sure to experience kite moments of anthology in one of the most incredible scenery you will ever kited on. Outdoormix Festival invites you to test throughout the event, our favorite spot of Serre-Ponçon Lake: Outdoormix FreeRide Zone at Boscodon Beach.

3. FLAT RACE

For the first time this year, organized by “Power Kites Hautes Alpes” association, a Kitefoil Race open to everyone will take place on the Serre-Ponçon Lake. The itinerary will be between 10/12 km from Savines to Saint Michel Bay. A gathering of kiters from everywhere, in an ambient of friendliness, festivity and sporting spirit. Kiters will warm up from 12 to 13:30 for a departure around 14h.
