This week, The Kiteboarder Magazine interviewed Nils Stolzlechner about the 2010 Kite Racing World Championship, being held this year in Corpus Christi, Texas. Nils gives us an update on the event, which is no longer associated with the Texas International Boat Show.
Today was the first day in Hua Hin with unpredictable winds. PKRA Race director Olaf Van Tol decided to postpone the race and freestyle double elimination competitions today in anticipation that the wind would change in direction and pick up in strength.
The PKRA World Cup 2010 has kicked off in Hua Hin, Thailand, the most amazing place if you desire consistent winds averaging 20 knots, beautiful blue sunny skies, and temperatures averaging 34 degrees Celsius.
The event is hosted by Asociacion Mexicana de Kitesurf for and on behalf of Copa Mexico and the Mexican Sailing Federation and will be held from March 1st (Registration) till March 6th at Bucerias,Nayarit / Mexico.

Everything was arranged and lots of people were planning on attending. There was one minor issue though: It was about 30 degrees and snow flurries were predicted! I mean, this is Florida, we don’t do cold!
In a press release, the IKA has announced today that competitors who participate in non-IKA/ISAF contests will not be eligible to compete in IKA events. This means that riders who compete in KPWT events will not be able to also compete in PKRA events.
