2016 Dakhla Downwind – Morocco

The second edition of the Dakhla Downwind is an unprecedented event in Morocco that will transform your spirit of adventure.

Dakhla and the region of Oued Eddahab-Lagouira as a major destination for watersports, this is a dynamic event for Dakhla and its sponsoring partners. Throughout this 500 km (310.686 miles) kitesurfing journey that begins from the Spirit Dakhla and will finish in scenic location of Lagouira. Riders will discover the majestic scenery, sand dunes and beautiful beaches of the South Coast of Morocco. Only for 50 riders will participate in this great adventure thanks to the opening of the “Sea” exclusively for the Dakhla Downwind. This journey will be an exclusive solo group event, free of any other kiteboarders navigating down this route. Participants will have boat and 4×4 assistances during all the downwind.

This event is in coordination with the Moroccan Kitesurfing Association (AMKS) and Dakhla Booking.

This includes:

*From August 12 evening to August 22 morning, 10 nights including 5 nights in a bungalow double with bathroom at Dakhla Spirit and 5 nights in tents double on beaches
*Full board during the 10 days (3 meals / day). During the Dakhla Downwind, lunch consists of a picnic takeaway
*Drinking water (other drinks in supplements)
*Airport-Dakhla Spirit transfers and the return of the downwind in minibus or 4×4
*Assistance and safety on the water provided by jetskis and boats
*Assistance and safety on land provided by 4×4 vehicles, quads and trucks
*Medical assistance consisting of an emergency doctor, a nurse and an osteopath
*Teams of assembly and disassembly of the camps
*Transport vehicles for kitesurfing equipment and personal effects
*The storage and the security of kitesurfing equipment on the various camps
* Two professionals photographers / cameramen on water and / or land for quality images
*The Meet & Greet party
*The closing ceremony
*The Welcome pack including: a t-shirt of the event, an identification bib and gifts from various sponsors
