A big part of every Cape Town kiteboarding season is the Redbull King of the Air contest that happens in Blouberg, kite beach. This legendary big air event always pushes the riders to the max and has to be one of the best big air events of the year. Tom Court competed in this event a few years ago and managed to break a few ribs before the event, like quite a few riders this year. It seems that ribs are the main injury this year! This year, he got sucked into working for the event and editing for Redbull behind the scenes, so he hasn’t had much time to film. In this video, Tom catches up with Sam Light, who gives us his predictions for the event and what is going to happen in the main event as well as talks about his recent rib injury that saw him retire from contest making way for Ozwald Smith!
