The women and men freestyle qualifiers came to an end in Dakhla, Morocco this week at the 2015 Virgin Kitesurf World Championships, the VKWC (formerly known as the PKRA). At the women’s final round Dioneia Vieira, Hannah Whiteley and Katarzyna Lange fought for the two available spots for the first half of the VKWC 2015 Freestyle tour stops. At a very close heat between all three, Dioneia managed to win the qualifiers with a solid Front to Blind and a Back Mobe. Hannah demonstrated her skills with a Back Mobe and a 313 finishing second in the women’s qualifier final.  Dioneia and Hannah will be part of the women’s pre-qualified freestyle riders for the first half of the 2015 season.

Katarzyna managed to land a Back to Blind and a Blind Judge and earned the local wildcard spot for the women’s freestyle competition in Dakhla 2015.

The final list of 11 women elite riders for the first half of the tour is:

They will be joined with one local wildcard rider at each of the tour stops. At the men’s freestyle qualifiers, the final round was full of intense action. Jerome Cloetens, Carlos Mario, Patrick Blanc, Ariel Corniel, Julien Leleu, Jerrie Van De Kop, and Paul Serin were able to win their heats and qualified for the remaining 7 spots of the 2015 Virgin Kitesurf World Championships.
