This event is brought to you by The Slider Project and has invited Venyu Triple-S Invited Riders for a completely grassroots event at has no sponsors, no prize money, just pure plain old bragging rights.
If you’re not on the list, no worries, there’s an open Instagram contest for anyone wanting to take part in the event. Submit your entry for one of the wildcard spots, post a 15 second Instagram video showcasing sliders and kickers only along with the tags #hoodriversliderjam and #sliderproject for your chance to kite with some of the world’s best park riders.
The Slider Project is a community organization dedicated to growing the sport of Kiteboarding by creating the largest free standing kite park in the world. We work in cooperation with the Columbia Gorge Kiteboarding Association, the Port of Hood River, and the Oregon State Marine Board.
