While El Nino has been unleashing the full fury of winter on the lower 48, Central Canada has been getting one of it’s mildest winters on record. The second annual Red Bull Kite Farm event was scheduled for next week in Regina, but to do lower than normal snow conditions across Saskatchewan, the event has been postponed to February 27th, 2016.

Snow kite endurance races require specific conditions to access all the available terrain and according to Race Director Aaron Hackel, “with the unseasonably high temperatures here in Regina and lack of reliable conditions, we have been forced to postpone the event two weeks. Providing a positive experience for athletes and delivering a premium snow kite endurance race are our ultimate goals for Red Bull Kite Farm. Sadly, current conditions will not allow for either.”

Saturday, February 27th, 2016
11:00am 4:30pm Red Bull Kite Farm
