After three days of racing at the North American Kiteboard Racing Championship at the St. Francis Yacht Club, the top 10 of 74 kiters will face off on today in four scheduled races to see who will take the title.
Los Barriles, Baja Mexico, was once again the host for the annual Lord of the Wind Showdown and conditions did not disappoint. Now in it's 3rd year, this year's event was held from January 10-15, 2013 with wind averaging 22-28 knots daily.

Within the event the inaugural Kite Cross World Championship was held. While there were run-away leaders in some classes, including double Olympic Tornado medallist Mitch Booth in the F18 catamaran, the closest finish across the whole competition was in the men’s kiteboarding competition.
