WIND VOYAGER TRIPLE-S INVITATIONAL 2018

Internationally recognized as the crown jewel of wakestyle kiteboarding competition, the 2018 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational will showcase the talents of the most progressive wakestyle kiteboarders on the planet. The format this year will pit riders against one another in high-stakes heats and laid-back freeriding sessions in the world’s premier kite park.

The REAL Slider Park

The world’s biggest and most advanced slider park featuring two kickers, an 82-foot A-frame, a 56-ft rooftop rail and a 45-ft reverse rainbow. All set up directly south of REAL Watersports in the world-famous REAL Slick where the water is flat, the wind is clean and the crowd has a front row seat to all the action.

24 Men | 10 Women

The Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational features the top professional wakestyle kiteboarders from around the world. We’re often asked, “Who gets invited and how do you decide?”

Here’s the breakdown that leads to the final competitors list of 24 Men and 10 Women:

Men: 24 Competitors

1-16: The Top 16 Men from the previous year’s Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational automatically re-qualify for the following year’s event

17-20: 4 Invited Riders. These invites are given out based on riding level, competition results, and the ability of the rider to potentially place on the podium. All four of these invitees get into the main event, so they are all equal standing.

4 Alternate Riders. These alternate spots are given out in order #1 through #4. Alternate riders are invited into the event, in order, if any spaces 1-20 become open and available. Alternates are not guaranteed a spot in the main event, but none the less, being included in alternate list means their kiting and competitive level is recognized among the top riders in the world. Alternate riders should prepare a Wildcard Video or plan to participate in the Wind Voyager Triple-S OPEN to further their chances of entry into the main event in the event they don’t get called up through their alternate seeding.

21-22: Wildcard Video Winners. The Top 2 Men in the Wildcard Video Contest gain entry into the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational.

23-24: Wind Voyager Triple-S OPEN Winners. The Top 2 Men in the OPEN claim the final two spots in the main event.

Women: 10 Competitors

1-4: The Top 4 Women from the previous year’s Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational automatically re-qualify for the following year’s event.

5-6: 2 Invited Riders. These invites are given out based on riding level, competition results, and the ability of the rider to potentially place on the podium. Both of these invitees get into the main event, so they are of equal standing.

??: 2 Alternate Riders. These alternate spots are given out in order #1 through #2. Alternate riders are invited into the event, in order, if any spaces 1-6 become open and available. Alternates are not guaranteed a spot in the main event, but none the less, being included in alternate list means their kiting and competitive level is recognized among the top riders in the world. Alternate riders should prepare a Wildcard Video or plan to participate in the Wind Voyager Triple-S OPEN to further their chances of entry into the main event in the event they don’t get called up through their alternate seeding.

7: Wildcard Video Winners. The Top 2 Woman in the Wildcard Video Contest gain entry into the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational.

8: Wind Voyager Triple-S OPEN Winner. The Top 2 Woman in the OPEN claim the final spots in the main event.
