OUTDOORMIX – EXTREME SPORTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL

The 5th edition of the Outdoormix Festival will take place between 5th to 8th of May 2017, in the gorgeous town Embrun, French Alps. The global concept of the festival: RIDE & PARTY! With extreme sports during day times and live music at night. A complete program featuring ten disciplines: windsurfing, SUP, kayaking, slacklining, paragliding, biking, skateboarding, climbing, longboarding and of course KITESURFING!

THE FREESTYLE SHOW

At Embrun, the heart of the Outdoormix event, freestyle Kites demos will take place every day of the event. Direct from the WKL podiums: Nicolas DELMAS and Angely BOUILLOT. As well as Julien KERNEUR, Julian KRIKKEN, Quentin VALESA, among many others! Technique, adrenaline and spectacle, for epic freestyle, just the way we love it!

Saturday and Sunday, YOURI ZOON & DAVID TONIJUAN will dazzle the public with their most amazing tricks! A Freestyle Battle where they will face each other and talent only will allow them to reach the podium!

On the women’s side, our ambassador will be once again PAULINE VALESA.

THE NEW NAUTICAL VILLAGE
The big news for this 5th edition is new NAUTICAL VILLAGE located on Serre-Ponçon lake banks. This place is one of the best spots in French Alps called «Les Eaux Douces». This new meeting zone will be THE place for kitesurfers, kitefoilers, windsurfers, SUPers and visitors as well!

SLINGSHOT, XTREME FOIL, F-ONE, STROM KITESURFING, DOLL, FLYSURFER, KETOS FOIL and AIRUSH will be on this spot to present and allow testing of their latest products release. Also, several activities and competitions will be run there : RACE KITEFOIL, RACE WINDSURF, DOWNWIND SUP, freestyle kite challenges open to all, CataKite open classes, Chill Out, Dj Live & more!

Competitions at the Nautical Village

• Kite Foil Race:

Because last year the Kitefoil race has been so awesome, the organizers decided to  repeat the experience. This growing discipline is particularly adapted to any wind conditions so a spectacle is guaranteed.
Do not miss the most beautiful moment, the start of race, where about 50 kite compete together in an awesome background!

• Windsurf and Windfoil Race:

For the fifth edition, Outdoormix integrates a new version of windsurf competition in its sport program. A Slalom race will be organized on the lake of Serre Ponçon, it will be open to all, windsurfers and wind foilers!

• Stand Up Paddle Downwind:

The SUP race organized during the festival will be stage of the Alpine Lake Tour 2017. A real 10 km sports experience on the lake, allowing participants to slip through the mountains on crystal clear waters. The race track will go from Chanteloube Bay to the Nautical Village.

THE SPOT

The coolest thing about kiting at Serre Ponçon, is the atypical character of the place. A huge lake with flat turquoise water and surrounded by the Alps.

There are two predominant winds:

A thermal wind that blows thanks to the sun, accelerated by the venturi effect of the reliefs and second wind, more powerful, when the Mistral wind blows at the south of France. The intensity of this influence is felt here and guarantees you a sessions full of sensations!
