Interstate, Overseas
Come the end of the first round of lockdowns in Melbourne, Katie Potter and Ewan Jaspan decided to drive up the coast to the more tropical waters of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland for a getaway from the Melbourne winter. As they were arriving, a second lockdown started in Melbourne due to another Covid-19 outbreak, so they decided to stay until it all blew over. Peri Roberts also decided to join them for some warm weather as did Alex Lewis-Hughes (videographer) as they all travelled interstate, their new overseas.
They had 4 months on the Sunshine Coast in total. Although it wasn’t very windy, they all got to do plenty of activities, and any wind was better than the harsh lockdowns their friends at home were faced with. The crew learned to surf foil, spent plenty of time wakeboarding, surfing and even got to explore the Great Barrier Reef with good friend Dave Serrano.
By the end of the trip they had amassed some really nice footage from lots of different spots and decided to make a video series, showing their time up the coast and what they got up to over the break from overseas travel.
