The amazing part is, what makes it valuable is the commitment and loyalty the riders and manufacturers have for the tour and its organizers. Its first class racing! Since 2014, a group of dedicated kite industry professionals “plotted” to bring more excitement in to kite racing and foilers began working hard, all over the world, to promote one event that would bring the most talented people in the foil world together. This discipline, kite foil racing, has evolved and prevailed immensely over the course of the last three race seasons and shows true promise in advancing the exposure of our sport. Behind the scenes is a team of committed and passionate advocates of kiting and racing who have united to position this tour as the most prestigious race in this discipline. The HFPT is to kiteboarding what Formula One is to car racing.
The 1st stop of the 2017 Race Season was hosted by Playa Central in La Ventana, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The 2nd stop will be held June 2-5 in Montpellier, France by Festikite. 3rd stop, Aug. 2-5 in San Francisco, United States. 4th stop, Aug. 22-26 in Fehmarn, Germany. 5th stop, Sept. 19-22 in Pointe d’Esny, Mauritius. 6th stop, Nov. 14-18 in Rockingham, Australia.
