North Says:

The Dice is a perfectly balanced freestyle/wakestyle tool redefining versatility and performance in a C-oriented three strut design, which can even impress in waves. It’s the ultimate kite of choice for all those, who feel the design of the Vegas got a little bit too extreme over the years. A new panel layout with an immensely stable Dacron frame and wave panels on the trailing edge, enhance durability and the overall canopy stiffness. The dynamic curve of the tip strut offers responsive steering whilst the variety of different length pigtails give even more variation between the different settings. 4 and 5 line compatible, the Dice is a confidence giver with great rider feedback and incredible stability in the air. If you want a kite that is especially prepared for all your freestyle and wakestyle tricks but is also able to perform in waves when actively steered, then the Dice is the one for you.

TKB Says:

The Dice is a 3-strut medium aspect C-shaped 4-line (unloaded 5th-line capable) kite that features North’s large diameter inflation valve that connects directly with its pump hose without the use of a nozzle. The inflation system’s twist valve opens and closes with the insertion and removal of the hose and makes inflating and packing up quick and easy. The Dice features a single setting front bridle with pulleys and two steering settings on the wingtip as well as four battens along the trailing edge. Testers gave the Dice good praise for its light to medium bar pressure and quick power generation with boost that translated into lively load and pop for freestyle. While there’s plenty of crossover between North’s Dice, Evo and Rebel model kites, the Dice seems to be the more all around model that excels in all areas including unhooked freestyle, big air freestyle and surf disciplines along with  general freeriding. It’s a kite that beginners can start out on and excel with as riders find their style and progress.

TKB-FREERIDE-2017-NORTH-BAR-CLICK-BAR
The Click Bar is the latest 4-line control bar released by North and features a new power adjustment system that is built into the control bar and is easily accessed while riding. By simply twisting the right side of the bar you can power up your kite, or by pressing a button you can depower it, keeping the power controls within your reach at all times; a visual indicator built into the bar shows where you are in the tuning of your kite. The Click Bar comes in a single 49cm length with 22m or 24m line lengths and features a single center-line safety depower system, high-V, a durable plastic throw line that untwists itself after you spin, a sliding stopper and North’s proven push away quick release. The bar features retractable bar bungees, soft bar ends and integrated floats. The Click Bar settles the debate between above or below the bar tuning by placing it exactly at your fingertips. The twisting motion for power up takes a little bit of focus while riding and the button for depower is easily accessed at all times. While it’s a big shift to the systems we have come to know, seamless controls like this are the future of the sport.
