Goodwinds at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is pleased to announce the second annual Dorado Kite Experience (DKE) event to be held the weekend of March 2nd-5th, 2017. The intimate weekend celebration will feature kitesurf instruction, luxurious dinner parties, an epic down winder and award winning Ritz-Carlton Reserve accommodations.Last year’s event offered a variety of programs and activities that catered to different levels of kitesurf experience – from private lessons for beginners to advanced clinics that included wave riding, foil boarding, freestyle kite surfing and more. This year, Goodwinds is taking the event to the next level and providing even greater value by assigning one instructor to each beginner student for the whole day for unlimited water time. Intermediate to advanced kiters will enjoy clinics, photo/video sessions and the opportunity to participate in the Cofresi Challenge, an epic down winder overlooking the 500 year old, El Morro Fort. In addition, beyond kitesurfing, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of early morning activities like step off surfing, outer reef paddle board tours and yoga.
Adding to this year’s excitement, Goodwinds is proud to announce that North Kiteboarding International Team Riders Colleen Carroll and Craig Cunningham will be joining the DKE as guest kitesurf pros and world renown sports and kitesurf photographer Vincent Bergeron will capture all the action in and out of the water. As the DKE slogan suggests “Kite. Connect. Experience”, Karla Barrera, owner of Goodwinds, explains: “Not many places in the world can offer you world class kitesurfing and surfing, paired with luxury accommodations, exquisite meals and the networking opportunities that Dorado Beach offers. Mixing kitesurfing with networking, exploring the Dorado Beach resort and its 1400 acre Great Park and experiencing the Ritz-Carlton Reserve; the Dorado Kite Experience will redefine the notion of what is possible to experience in a kitesurf destination. At Dorado Beach, there is no need to compromise.”
