Nobile Says:

The Nobile T5 is great in any conditions and is a favorite for fans of wave riding where the steering simplicity and the kite’s stability matter. This year we have introduced additional reinforcements and a new canopy material Double Ripstop Teijin which has been tested in the most difficult conditions. It is super-durable and resistant to mechanical damage, as well as climactic conditions, such as salt water, high temperature and sand. In addition we have improved the construction of the middle strut. This has translated into the flight stability and support in the middle part of the canopy. We have also added Dacron belts on the canopy to strengthen the construction and profile the shape better, thanks to which we have achieved significant improvement of the kite’s flying properties. This kite will serve you for many years.

TKB Says:

The T5 is a 3-strut medium aspect C-shaped kite with swept back wingtips. It is quick to inflate with a Boston valve that requires the larger inflation nozzle and features a single setting fixed front bridle and two steering settings on the wingtip. The T5 earned good marks as an all around, easy to use kite with good steering response and super stable flying characteristics. Testers liked its smooth power delivery which generated a good amount of lift for big airs and its fairly compact tight steering arc that generates a good amount of power, especially helpful when underpowered  — our publisher was impressed with its stability and responsiveness on a particular light wind day on the island in 8-13mph conditions.  The steering speed and overall steering of the T5 makes this kite easy to boost, yet fairly tame while loading for predictable landings and generally secure when the wind became gusty. With its sweptback wingtips the T5 was quite capable of relaunching from the heart of the wind window every time. Testers recommend the T5 as a great entry-level freeriding kite because of its superb stability that will also deliver some fun yet safe big air freestyle and more as you progress.TKB-FREERIDE-2017-NOBILE-BAR-2811Nobile’s Trust control bar features a single center-line safety depower with a fixed length bar (46 or 51cm lengths) The shorter bar comes with 20m lines and the longer with 23m lines that are knotted on the center lines. The T5 features above the bar power tuning cleat with a bungee and Velcro on the toggle for keeping it secured, a low-V, and a plastic coated throw line for durability that features a sliding stopper with a non-adjustable length throw. The push away quick release features a quick release shield and below the bar hand swivel and the bar ends are soft and feature integrated bar ends that do not have tuning options for the outside lines. Overall, testers liked the Trust control bar for its durability, thicker plush grip and fairly rich combo of features.
