Better late than never. Here’s a recap of all the action from this year’s Hood River Slider Jam which took place last August in Hood River, Oregon. In a grassroots effort, a group of passionate kiteboarders took it upon themselves to create a contest that would have no sponsors or prize money, only glory to the winner who took the top spot. Props to Brandon Scheid who claimed bragging rights… at least for this year. As the starting point for a larger kiteboarding contest, 2016 is sure to be a whole other story.
