The Vanguard is back for another year with quad concave and a defined spine and channels that give the Vanguard better edge control and confidence inspiring grip on the water. The Vanguard features three holes for stance width adjustment and five settings to adjust duck stance. The Vanguard felt a little stiffer compared to the all carbon Limited, but testers gave the Vanguard solid points for its tracking and confidence inspiring riding through the chop. The Vanguard came with the quad adjustment foot straps that are easy to assemble and fairly easy to adjust on the beach, with the four adjustments making it easy to change the angle of the strap for uniform pressure on your foot. The pads have a soft to medium density comfortable rubber-like footbed with ribs and a ridge under your toes that gives good traction.
