“The feeling is a bit surreal to be the World Champion. I am thankful and glad to have made this achievement in my professional career.” – Christophe Tack

Powered by sponsorships from Liquid Force, Mystic, and Red Bull, Tack’s training last winter in Cape Town clearly paid off. With tremendous focus, he worked to get his riding aligned with updated judging criteria and diligently perfected an arsenal high scoring tricks.

From Panama to Pingtan, Tack’s strategy has paid off. He’s dominated the 2014 tour with a phenomenal, high-performing year standing the podium 7 out of 9 events:

Panama – 1st
Dakhla – 2nd
France – 1st
Egypt – 1st
Fuerteventura – 2nd
Germany – 4th
Tarifa – 1st
Brazil – 7th
Pingtan – 2nd

But still, a World Championship crown doesn’t happen overnight and it has been anything but easy. After completing his very first kiteboarding competition a few years back, Tack knew a world title would eventually become his goal, and since then, he’s worked steadily toward that end with dedication, focus, and determination.

“Christophe is one of the most unique professional athletes I have worked with. His focus and hyper attention to the goal of attaining a World Championship is unsurpassed. This title is greatly deserved and well earned. All of us here at Liquid Force are glad to have been a part of this journey to victory.”  – Gary Siskar, Liquid Force Kiteboarding Brand Manager

2014 Mondial du Vent

“Tack has been with us since he was a very young ripper. Tack has this mind open to anything and he always goes 100%. He is very talented on technical tricks and showed the world how to push freestyle kiteboarding forward. I compare Tack with John John Florence as he never stops riding and always is very dedicated to try new stuff. At Mystic we are very pleased to have the title back with one of our team and super happy for Tack as he deserves this more then anyone right now”.  – Max Blom Jr., Mystic Co-Founder
