Beginning Saturday, September 20, 2014, the biggest kiteboarding charity event on the East Coast, the 5th Annual Dream Extreme, will kick-off in East Hampton, New York. Dream Extreme is truly a one-of-a-kind event. While there are kiteboarding races and expos that raise funds for charity, none combine a 2-day kiteboarding clinic, beach bash, gala dinner and auction, plus world-class instruction.

REGISTRATION

Participants are invited to join the following honorees for a weekend in the Hamptons: fashion designer Nicole Miller, best-selling author Richard Doetsch, and philanthropists Bonnie Pfeifer Evans and Laura Nicklas. Hosted by New York’s PIX-11 Reporter Kirstin Cole, Dream Extreme brings together established leaders in business, philanthropy, fashion, art, sports, and New York society. Registration is currently open.

KITEBOARDING CLINICS

Whether you’re learning to ride or improving your skills, Dream Extreme offers clinics with an impressive list of world champion riders and professional coaches from around the world. For non-kiting attendees, the daytime itinerary includes other activities such as stand-up paddle boarding, yoga, massage, BBQ and live music.

THE CAUSE

Over the past 4 years Dream Extreme has raised more than $500,000 to support the critical work of STEPS, a nonprofit organization focused on ending family violence and improving the lives of women, children and families since 1986. STEPS offers a wide range of services from educational and therapeutic groups; individual counseling for children, teens and adults; as well as advocacy and legal representation.

HISTORY

Dream Extreme Founder, Linda Argila has a history of overcoming challenges. From a year in prison to building a career in philanthropy, her love for kiteboarding led her to create this event. Dream Extreme represents both Linda’s motivational and philanthropic missions — inspiring others to overcome challenges and live their dreams, while raising funds for victims of domestic violence and incarcerated mothers.
