From April 18-21, 2014, the Collegiate Kiteboarding Association (CKA) will host its West Coast Regional Competition at Pismo Beach, California.

Primarily a competition for west coast schools,  — winning competition riders will be invited to advance to Nationals in late May on Cape Hatteras, squaring off with top east coast riders. Regional competitions seek to determine the best Freestyle and Surf college riders. The event will be divided into Advanced and Amateur divisions across both Freestyle and Wave disciplines. CKA will run all events with 2-3 heats per division, wind dependent. A cash prize of $250 will be divided among the top 3 riders in the Advanced and Amatuer Freestyle division, and first place in Surf.
