The chameleon characteristics does not come at the cost of performance, handling or durability. Our Testers Say:

“Awesome, stable kite with good drift, precision steering and an excellent bar system once you take the time to understand how it works,” Gary Martin.

“Easy all around C-style kite that drifts well while generating nice power through its turns,” Davey Beard.

“Easy to fly and forgiving with medium bar pressure and precise turning, liked the bar grip but the QR is complicated,” Laird Davis.

Meet the 2014 TKB Test Team.

TKB Says:

The Vector is a moderately low aspect 3-strut freeride kite featuring Cabrinha’s solid construction which earned positive marks in all aspects of handling from out testers. The inflation system features a large diameter valve that universally fits any pump hose with no nozzle and makes inflating and deflating fast and effortless. Testers praised the Vector’s medium bar pressure with respectable boosting and hangtime capabilities. The Vector shines with its precise steering response, and dependable power delivery. Many testers felt this would be a great kite for all levels of riders in the freeride category while excelling in casual freestyle and the waves.

The Vector comes with the Overdrive 1X Bar which is unique for its adjustable length bar ends that allows riders to easily and safely change bar length when desired. The bar combines the advantageous leverage of above the bar tuning with longer travel throw while keeping controls well within the rider’s reach by using extension handles in a clean and functional design. The plastic depower/throw line doesn’t include an adjustable stopper but the spring loaded controls help keep the bar within reach when let go. The single center line safety system and quick release is more complex than most, but riders who take the time to learn how it functions will like it’s clean mechanism, internal safety depower line and ability to hand rotate the center lines from the quick release.
