Choose your element from freeride, wave, jumping or looping – the Lithium does it all. Designed for just about everything, the Delta Hybrid Design featured on the Lithium, gives a massive range for the user as well as an extreme low-end power for those marginal days. Quick and direct response of the kite, due to the wingtip position, is spectacular for those wave riding sessions the one-day and those twin tip big jumping sessions the next.

Our Testers Say:
“I would choose this kite for long kite journeys and adventures. Feels great in your hands and I always knew where the kite was without thinking,” Frank Russo.
“Fun kite with responsive turning and super easy re-launch. Performed well even when the wind dropped,” Cherie Costello.
“This kite was immediately comfortable and easy to fly. With good grunt, stability and medium turning speed it was the Mercedes of kites with high quality fit and finish – especially in the cockpit,” Laird Davis.
The Lithium is a moderately low aspect three strut delta hybrid kite which received very positive reviews from the testing team. The most obvious change for 2014 is the Poly Load Frame which adds reinforcement throughout the kite’s canopy, which Airush tells us makes a more solid connection and prevents stretching throughout the canopy. The review team found the Lithium to be a fun, easy to use freeride kite that does most everything well. Offering medium bar pressure and direct steering response, the Lithium has a pivot style turn that generated very predictable power, and relaunched well from dead downwind. The Lithium doesn’t have the explosive boosting power of the Varial X, but is an excellent performer for the all around kiter that enjoys freeriding, waves and casual freestyle.
The Lithium comes with the Smart Bar 5 which features impressive telescoping bar length adjustability, plastic depower/throw line, sliding stopper, above the bar depower strap with extension handles and a clean and crisp push away quick release. This bar is one of the few that combines the longevity of a plastic coated depower/throw line with an adjustable stopper. Some reviewers noted the area around the handles seemed a bit busy, but the tuning controls worked very well and allow for a bigger adjustable length throw. The telescoping bar is incredibly easy to adjust but we recommend making changes when you’re on land as the bar ends can be completely removed. Female testers commented on the bar humps not fitting their smaller hands but the textured EVA had just the right density for comfort and control. Overall, this bar received very high marks for its features, function and comfort.
