Size Tested: 148×45.5cm

Our Testers Say:

“Does everything great. Tons of pop. This board really impressed me and is one of the best light wind boards I’ve ever ridden. I want one now,” Clint Sterba.

“Quick to get upwind and really nice turning with comfortable straps. I really liked it,” Ken Hunt.

“Once I had it in the water I was blown away. It seems to have as much low end as the other boards (if not more), turns well, and is all around fun. For sure my favorite board in the test,” Marko Bartscherer.

TKB Says:

The 2013 Liquid Force Overdrive features a full wood core, beautiful graphics, and LF’s Liquid Rails. It has a wide outline, flat bottom shape, and flat rocker line, especially between the rider’s feet. Liquid Force is offering this board for a very low price including pads and straps. The Overdrive looks more like a standard twin tip than a light-wind specific board, so some of our testers did not have very high expectations for it.

However, on the water the Overdrive’s performance shocked most of the test team. They reported extremely good low end performance, great upwind performance, a stable and forgiving ride, very good pop, and fun carving.

Our test Overdrive came with the Liquid Force Luxury straps. The strap and pad installs as a single unit and might be the easiest to install pad/strap system of the test. The pads feature an adjustable/removable toe bar that testers seemed to like as long as it was adjusted properly.
