Pacasmayo, Peru. Friday, October 21, 2011: Three days into the 10-day holding period of the Pacasmayo Kite Surf Pro, KSP officials called a third consecutive lay day for the second stop of the World Championship Kite Surfing Tour.

With a swell starting to roll in over Friday night, Saturday looks promising to kick off Round 1 of the competition in head-high surf (see below for match-ups). Sunday’s forecast remains exceptionally bright, as models project the swell’s peak in tandem with strong winds.

The KSP is happy to welcome Naish Kiteboarding as the latest addition to the growing list of industry members. Naish has committed its full support to the World Championship Kite Surfing Tour and joins existing KSP Industry Members North, Best and Underground, plus F-One, which signed on mid-way through the Mauritius One Eye Pro tour stop.

“It really was a given for us to support the first kite surfing World Championship Tour,” says Naish Kiteboarding brand manager Damien Girardin. “As the pioneer brand of kiteboarding, with Robby Naish considered one of the most famous wave riders in the world, and being based on Maui, Hawaii, Naish has always been at the forefront of kite surfing. We look forward to the KSP World Tour’s continued success and long life.”

Tomorrow morning at 8:55 a.m. (PET), event directors will make the call of the daily call which, as every day, will be live-streamed online at www.kspworldtour.com/live . First possible start will be 10 a.m..
