On Friday, August 15, US Flysurfer Distributor Ted Bautista posted a plea on forums worldwide to help out local kiter, Walt Goldsmith, pay for a much needed operation. Ted started out the drive with $400 from his own pocket. In just under three weeks, kiteboarders, largely from the mid-Atlantic coast region, reached into their pockets and met the goal of $5,000 to help out a fellow waterman. The Kiteboarder just wanted to give props to Ted and the kiteboarding community for their dedication and support. Way to go!
