The Saipan Windsurfing Association is hosting “Saipan Kite Jam 2007” this weekend, Feb. 10-11, at Micro Beach.
Organizer Rob Jordan is calling on the public to watch the action-packed event which he expects will draw competitors from Japan, neighboring Guam, as well as a handful of kiteboarding enthusiasts from Saipan.
“Be sure to stop by and check out one of the newest and most exciting extreme sports on Saipan, kiteboarding,” he said.
According to Jordan, two days of kiteboarding will include a freestyle double elimination tournament and a possible down-wind race from Aqua Resort Club to Micro Beach. The races will be held from 10am to 5pm on both days.
