After months of going back and forth to neurologists and following up with repeat MRI’s, I was diagnosed on the 3rd of Jan. with a brain tumor by the head neurosurgeon at OSHU, and underwent surgery last Thursday. The good news is that they were able to remove the entire tumor (grade 2 astrocytoma) and aside from a bit of weakness on the right side of my face and arm (which should be temporary) I’m feelin pretty good, and darn lucky. I’m not completely out of woods yet, and will likely need some chemotherapy and continued monitoring to take care of any remaining aggressive cells that are still left.
