The past three days have been all time here in Park City, UT. The wind has been blowing and the weather has been beautiful.
We wanted to give one of the best SLE kites ever built a major face lift. We envisioned the high demand in 2010 for a no-center-strut design, so we redesigned the Havoc on a 4-strut structure, giving room for a much deeper and more powerful profile in the center of the kite where it’s really needed.
Today, Liquid Force has announced that Gary Siskar will be joining the Kite Division as Brand Manager.
I’ve been really trying to work on my style, cutting out any dingo danglo tricks and pushing more powered and kite low tricks, that i’m going into with a lot more speed. Powering in at the take off just makes landings twice as rewarding and in my opionion give a much more fluid look and feel.

For the past few years Canadian custom snowboard maker Sheldon DeCosse has used his skills and custom manufacturing facilities to design and produce the ultimate snow kiteboard. Working with top athletes from all over the world, specifically with the top names in Norway, Sheldon has been able to design a board that serves the specific needs of progressive snowkiters, while also making the board fun to ride downhill.

Quads have made a comeback in the surf world for good reason. They’re fun and provide a skatier feel than a normal thruster set up.
At first glance, you see all those fins and wonder how it’s going to ride, but don’t be fooled.
When I learned to kiteboard, my first board was a 171 cm Liquid Force Picklefork. It was big, heavy, and had four sharp corners that were always trying to murder you. I thought it was the coolest piece of equipment ever. We all laugh at the Pickleforks now, but the design helped kiteboarders shift from directional to twin tip boards.
When it comes to shaping, the teacher always judges the apprentice. And even though Pat Rawson is a highly regarded shaper in his own right, legendary craftsman Dick Brewer was on hand to critique his work and ultimately award Rawson top honors during Sacred Craft’s “Tribute to the Masters Shape-off”.
