The forecast for the 6th Annual Kiteboarding 4 Cancer event called for strong wind and thunderstorms and the day delivered as promised, and then some!

The total funds raised in this weekend’s event have not been officially tallied yet, but funds raised by athletes alone were over $40,000. The proceeds will go to Athletes for Cancer’s Survivorship Camps, as well as regional cancer awareness, prevention, and survivorship organizations.

The 2011 Kiteboard 4 Cancer, powered by the John Wayne Cancer Foundation and Athletes for Cancer, is the largest amateur kiteboarding event in the world and heading into its 5th year! KB4C is the main event of the new Tenacity Games -- a multi-day, multi-sport adventure fundraiser for regional cancer programs and Athletes for Cancer's cancer survivorship program!!
