Bringing the world’s first-ever kiteboarding slopestyle contest to a close, yesterday concluded the third annual Ro Sham Throwdown, a week-long international pro-am event set in Hood River’s world-class terrain park.

While day five of the 2012 Ro Sham Throwdown started off with super light winds, conditions improved greatly by early Friday afternoon and Heat 3 Round 2 kicked off in Hood River’s world-renowned terrain park.

As the wind filled in through the Columbia River Gorge early yesterday afternoon, the Women’s Finals of the 2012 Ro Sham Throwdown resumed.

Day three of the world’s first slopestyle kiteboarding contest received excellent conditions, perfect for women’s finals and the first round of men’s qualifiers.

Amidst strong, steady winds on Tuesday in the Columbia River Gorge, the 2012 Ro Sham Throwdown kiteboarding competition commenced with two rounds of Women’s Qualifiers.

Thirty‐five men and eight women from Antigua, Australia, England, Scotland, the U.S., and Uruguay will battle it out throughout the week at the first‐ever slopestyle kiteboarding competition.
