The date is set and Red Bull Kite Farm will be making its return on February 12, 2016 to Saskatchewan, Canada, known as the perfect playground for kiteboarding in the winter season. Ample snow, bright sunshine and copious amounts of wind are all elements required for world-class kiteboarding, and Regina, Saskatchewan is just the place for it. International riders will be competing against Saskatchewan’s home-grown talent in an endurance race across the frozen Regina landscape. The overall winners in both ski and snowboard divisions will win an all-expense paid trip to Norway to represent Canada at Red Bull Ragnarok in April 2016.

The Course

Riders will be put up against the unique natural features that the prairies have to offer combined with man-made obstacles on course to push all skill and endurance levels to the limit. Saskatchewan’s unpredictable weather and wind patterns in February will humble even the best athletes. The event site is located only 3 minutes northwest of Regina off Hwy 11, a location renowned to Saskatchewan kiters for its rolling prairie terrain and 30’ cliff of powder leading into a frozen creek bed.

Event Day Schedule:

Red Bull Kite Farm will take place Friday February 12, 2016. This is a free event for spectators.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the event, Saturday February 13th and Sunday February 14th will be scheduled weather days. Any changes to the schedule will be posted on our event site.
