The Turks & Caicos was the place to be this weekend, Sunday, July 5th,  as the 9th Windvibes Watersports Tournament returned to the south shore of Providenciales. Crowds descended upon Long Bay Beach for the country’s only kiteboarding and multiple watersports event organized by pro kiter Hope LeVin and hosted by professional windsurfers, Brian Talma of Barbados and Kevin Pritchard of Hawaii.

The amateur competition held events in a multitude of watersports including kiteboarding, kayaking, stand up paddling, swimming, and windsurfing. The Windvibes Charity Challenge which is a team relay event in kayaking, swimming, and stand up paddling, returned for a 2nd year. Team Do It Centre took home the winning trophy and collected $10,332.00 for their chosen charity, the Turks & Caicos National Trust. The National Trusts works to persevere and share the unique culture of the Islands and maintains it’s national heritage sites.

We can’t wait for next year’s 10th Anniversary Windvibes on July 1oth, 2016!
