Axis Says:

The 2015 AXIS Liberty gives you the freedom to pursue your dreams, if your dream is to get up and ride! The Liberty is designed for beginners to intermediate riders. The Liberty’s soft, forgiving nature makes this the perfect board for entry-level kiters and people who require all-round performance. The construction is fiberglass and a Paulownia wood core, providing a great board at a competitive price.

The flatter rocker line requires less power from the kite thus making it easier to get up and plane quickly. This advances the progression of new kiters and allows more advanced kiters to have speed on tap! Get on the new Liberty and explore the freedom of kiteboarding!

This board comes equipped with the bright colored (so you can see spot the board easier on the water) AXIS Universal Traction System footpads/straps, and the bright yellow AXIS fins which are the highest quality G10 we use across our complete product line.

Our Testers Say:

“Good all around board that worked well in lighter wind and performed well in all aspects great one board quiver,” Michael Doucet.

“Stiffer board that handled chop like a champ, good all around board for a bigger rider that likes range,” Marko Bartscherer.

“Nice graphics, stiff flex makes it floppier over chop but goes upwind well and liked the toe grip on the pads,” India Stephenson.

Meet the 2015 TKB Test Team

TKB Says:

The Liberty is an entry level board that features a flatter rocker and straighter outline with stiffer flex. Testers praised this board for its solid range and easy upwind riding with fairly good chop handling ability. The Liberty came with the single adjustment foot straps that are incredibly easy to assemble but lack the form fitting adjustments of Axis’ quad adjustment strap, and the pads have a soft to medium density comfortable rubber-like footbed with ribs and a ridge under your toes that gives good traction. Testers recommend this board as a great beginner board for staying upwind and for learning the basics of freestyle.
