The Kiteboarder is excited to welcome Jen Jones to our team as the new Art Director for our quarterly print publications. Jen will be in charge of the creative direction and the new look of The Kiteboarder Magazine, starting with the Spring 2015 issue.

Jen grew up in Orlando, Florida where dreams came true and possibilities seemed endless. She earned a BA in Graphic Design from Flagler College, all the while pursuing her desire to become a professional photographer. After working for a small agency in St. Augustine, Jen moved to the west coast, seeking change of pace and work in the action sports industry. Her drive to unify her growing skill sets have created opportunities for her to work with various clients and projects around the globe. In 2012, she started her own creative agency, Moxy International. Her goal with Moxy has been to create an umbrella of her skill sets to produce work; sustainably, ethically and responsible, with a “dream team” of other creatives.

“We met Jen in Hood River , Oregon, last year, where she is based for the summer.” said Tkb’s publisher, Marina Chang. “She was putting the finishing touches on her webisode, Where the Wind Blows, and we decided to develop her journey in making the film into a feature for our fall 2014 issue. We were impressed with Jen’s creativity, positive energy and diverse talents and are excited to have her join the team at Tkb!”

Always touched by the water, whether it be the ocean, or river, Jen has a deep-rooted desire to stay close to the places that feed her soul. She spends her time between Hood River, Oregon; Todos Santos Baja Sur; Santa Barbara, California; and wherever the wind may blow or waves meet the shore. With more hobbies than she can count; surfing, kiting, yoga, traveling, and gardening to name a few, she loves being involved with all things promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Keep an eye out for Jen’s work in the new Spring 2015 Issue, shipping to kiteboarding shops and schools near you in March/April 2015.
