Mark your calendars for the 35th Annual WISSA’s World Championships being held at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin February 9 – 14, 2015!

The Winnebago Association of Kiteboarders (WAK), Wind Power Windsurfing and Kiting Center Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is this years host will welcome athletes from around the world to compete in three classes – Sled, Kite and Wings. Within these divisions they can enter in one and three day wind & snowkite races and the “Big Air” competition.

The event site will be along the shores of Lake Winnebago, one of largest lakes in the US and is the perfect destination for this race series. With the ideal blend of ice and snow conditions for daytime races in addition to affordable restaurants, shops, bars for evening activities the community stands ready to welcome competitors!

During the day thrilling races will take place on the ice and our sponsors will have their booths open to demonstrate equipment and sell food and refreshments,” said to Dan Deuster, WAK President. According to Deuster, “Fond du Lac’s historic Retlaw Plaza Hotel was selected as the Host Hotel and has created some very attractive packages for the event.”
