The second day of racing at the Live2Kite Shop Foilboard Nationals ended with race leader Johnny Heineken adding three more 1st place finishes to solidify his dominating lead on San Francisco’s city front racecourse. The racing was intense with most competitors starting on 7m kites with choppy conditions most of the afternoon as a result of the ebbing/outgoing current under the Golden Gate Bridge. Rankings at the end of Day 2 have Johnny Heineken in first, followed by Joey Pascquali, Jon Modica, Stefaans Viljoen, Seth Bessie, Ty Reed, Adam Withington, Leif Given, Chip Wasson, and Chris Brown.

The St Francis race committee modified the course for today, opting for shorter distance between marks and more laps around for the course compared to yesterday. According to Johnny Heineken, the relatively high skill level of the fleet was sufficient to allow the RC to tighten up the course to allow more mark roundings and closer racing. The new course created an excellent day for spectating, with the wind increasing to an estimated 30-35 knots on the course to create some intense speed and spectacular crashes.
