RRD Says:

The Style V2 has opened a whole new fashion of building freestyle board that has definitely changed the way you can ride a twintip board. The increased average length of our Freestyle PRO range in combination with an exclusive moulding process done entirely with an autoclave has allowed us to create an unbeatable combination of lightweight, strength and fibers memory that is second to none in the world. The STYLE BIAX features the innovative use of PRE PREG BIAXIAL GLASS, which delivers more flex. This means more comfort in riding on any water surfaces and getting more time and fun in the water. Entirely made in Italy with an exclusive AUTOCLAVE moulding technology and ONLY with PRE PREG fibers, we are the only company in the world who build boards with this exclusive technology.

“Great freestyle board for riders who like more flex, feels fast and lively through the water,” Brendan Richards.

TKB Says:

The 2014 Style Biax features RRD’s exclusive autoclave pre-pregnated biaxal glass construction with wood core, straighter rail underfoot, concave bottom, 2 holes for adjusting stance width and one setting for duck. Testers liked the greater amount of flex, lighter weight, quick planing and fast performance of this board. The Biax is the more forgiving version of the Style, which well suited our choppy conditions, but those that want a stiffer freestyle board may choose the Style V2. Testers praised the Style Biax’s pop and carving capabilities and recommended it for riders that are looking for a lively freeride board.

RRD-STYLE-2014-GEAR-REVIEW-05-PAD

The straps and pads that came with the Style feature a very simple install that doesn’t require the use of a screwdriver. The pads feature medium density EVA waffle pattern for solid grip and the foot straps feature dual Velcro straps for zonal adjustment. Overall testers liked the simple well designed pad and strap setup, although one tester wished there were more padding along the sides of the strap.
