Size Tested: 137x39cm

RRD Says:

The Poison Version 2 is an improvement of the our world famous Posion, our most wanted kiteboard over the years, a reference in the freestyle twin tip market. The waterline of the board is now longer averaging at 140 cm of length instead of 132 cm of the previous version. The increased length massively helps to improve clean landings and also creates a softer- easier to ride feel. The thickness of the Poison V2 is being kept at 8 mm in the middle keeping it s the thinnest, board in the market. The torsion box deck design of the Poison V2 is been moved forward towards the tips allowing a more continuous flex on the tip area of the stopping any unwanted twist. This is the most forgiving, easiest freestyle board of our current twintip collection.

Our Testers Say:

“Excellent upwind performance and great pop, but didn’t feel that forgiving. Pads were comfortable but the straps didn’t fit me well,” Kirstyn O’Brien.

“Smooth ride, great upwind and great pop. A very fun board,” Marko Bartscherer.

“A really lively, loose, and fast feeling board. Really fun to ride powered up,” Paul Lang.

Meet the 2013 TKB Test Team.

TKB Says:

The 2013 RRD Poison LTD V2 is a fairly light board that features a thin profile and full wood core. Our testers reported that the Poison has great upwind performance and has a fast and responsive feel to it.

They also commented that the board feels loose and provides a smooth ride through the chop. Our testers feel the Poison is a fantastic freeride/freestyle board but it may not be forgiving enough for total beginners.

The Poison uses the RRD Screwit V2 strap/pad system which is unique in the fact that it easily installs without the need for tools. Most testers felt the straps were really comfortable but a few felt they did not fit their feet well.
