2012 Pismo Beach Kite Expo Update for Saturday 4/14: Pimso Delivers Perfect Kiteboarding Conditions

With sunny skies, head-high surf, and great wind, Pismo Beach delivered perfect kiteboarding conditions for today’s demos.

The ten kiteboarding manufacturers on hand reported that usable kites were rarely on the beach today. Everything from 7m to 14m kites made it into the hands of eager riders.

There’s still one more day of the 2012 Pismo Beach Kite Expo, so think about getting in the car tomorrow to join us on the central coast. We are expecting another windy day for the closing day of the Expo tomorrow and will hold the final raffle sometime around 11a. Forecast is for NW 15-25 with combined seas 8-11 feet dominant period 12 seconds. Sunday’s prizes will include the Gabe Loyd custom board, Vela Kitesurf lodging package for Los Barriles or Hood River, Carol Bolstad custom kite painting, Underwave waist harness, 3 Hyperflex wetsuit packages including an AMP 3/2 front zip, 3mm AMP booties and 3mm AMP gloves, Radog wine (high quality wine donated by local kiter/winemaker Dan Tudor, available at 50% off retail pricing at www.friendsofkinsley.com), Core Control Bar, Liquid Force Influence board, and more from DaKine, Mystic, FCS, CaliKites.com, North, and Xenon.
