All good things come to an end, and so ends the 2011 La Ventana Classic and KiteXpo. Today the wind was lighter than the last two days, but the course racing was able to be finished and riders were able to continue demoing the latest gear here on the beach. Beach games resumed today and included the ever popular helmet monkey.

Also completed today was the five mile downwind SUP race. A kicker was put in the water and despite the light wind, a few riders were still able to make use of it.

The wrap up party was held at Pizza Vela, after which some of the organizers were able to sneak away and cut loose at an undisclosed location. We’ll have a full wrap up coming soon, if you weren’t here, then you missed an epic event. Make plans to be here next year.

This year is the best I have seen in the past three years. Outstanding and the flying with their kites was out of this world. All the people from La Ventana/ El Sergento was wonderful and I believe they all have a ball… I sure did… thanks Tim for all you have done for this wonderful town…
The event was the best since the beginning.
Glad we have been here supporting it since day one.
3 days of wind – how can you go wrong. Tons of fun in the evenings also.
Thank you all for the great organization.
