At just 27 years old, Canadian Julien Fillion has earned himself the position as lead designer for the kiteboarding division of Liquid Force. Also a pro rider who can thrown down with the best of them, Julien travels year round seeking waves, wind and flat water in order to bring his product visions to reality.
Working closely with Julien and board shaper Jimmy Redmon, pro rider and instructor Jason Slezak is integral to the design testing process at Liquid Force. As one of the main coaches at Real Watersports in Cape Hatteras, Jason has ideal conditions from flat water to surf to put new products to the test.
This week’s guests on The Kiteboarder Magazine and ASNews.net podcast are Julien Fillion and Jason Slezak. Julien will be answering any questions you have about the new Liquid Force Kites including the Havoc Gen 3, HiFi Gen 2, HiFi Comp and Session. He will also be talking about changes in the accessories line and new products being launched for 2009. Jason will be joining Julien to give his feedback re: what changed and what didn’t on the next gen kites, as well as what riders can expect from his new pro model board for 2009.
