PASA Level I Snowkiting ICP:

This 5 Day certification course is designed for snowkiters desiring to become Level 1 PASA certified snowkiting instructors.
Prerequisites for this course are the ability to kite upwind, perform advanced turns, maintain control in most wind conditions and perform simple jumps.
This course takes an instructor candidate through kite and instruction theory, kite rigging and repair, a basic understanding of weather and it’s effects on snow kiting, school site evaluation, emergency recovery systems as well as effective teaching and communication tools.

The mix of theory and hands on teaching gives the instructor candidate the skills necessary to become a safe, competent and communicative snowkiting instructor.

The cost of the PASA ICP course is $500.00.
(This fee does not include CPR, First Aid certifications or the annual $150.00 PASA professional membership dues)

To receive a Level I PASA Snowkite Instructor Certificate an instructor candidate must also submit current CPR and First Aid (Approved Courses available through Red Cross and American Heart Assoc.) certificates.Instructor candidates will need to bring their own snowkite gear, such as; snowboard or skies, One or two kites, appropriate snowkite clothing, goggles, and helmet. There will be trainer kites available to use during the “hands on” portion of the course.

How to register for a PASA Level One Instructor Certification Program (ICP):  

To register for an ICP, instructor candidates have to first be or become a current Professional member of PASA, the annual dues are $150.00, more info at https://www.pasakiteboarding.org/Login.aspx  
  
Then – To sign up for an ICP go to https://www.pasakiteboarding.org/EventCalendar.aspx, click on the month of the desired ICP date, then hit “select” on the ICP you would like to sign up for, then hit “sign up” to fill in the necessary info.

Snowkite instructors who have successfully completed their PASA Snowkite Instructors Certification and are current with their PASA professional membership dues  are eligible to take the PASA Kiteboarding Certification Course at a discounted rate of $300.00. (This does not include the First Aid, CPR or Boat Safe certifications necessary to fulfill the PASA Kiteboard Instructor Certification requirements.)
